Founded in 1930, Norimitsu Hamono is a small blacksmith shop that makes practical blades and tools for cooking, hunting, forestry and farming. Each item is carefully crafted by hand in our workshop in Hitoyoshi.

We review every request individually before confirming whether we can accept it.

01. Custom Orders
We review the intended use, specifications and our current workload. Some requests may take several months to complete.

02. Name Engraving
Name engraving may be available depending on the type of blade and its finish. Please ask when ordering.

03. Sharpening
Sharpening may not always be available. Please contact us before sending any item from overseas.

International shipping may be available depending on the destination, item and shipping conditions. We may not be able to ship certain items or to certain countries and regions.
Shipping charges, customs duties and import procedures may apply. Laws concerning the import and possession of knives, as well as airline baggage rules, vary by country and region.
INSIDE THE WORKSHOP
Workshop Visits and Photography
Advance reservations are required for workshop visits.
For safety reasons, some stages of the knife-making process cannot be viewed because they involve high heat and sharp tools. Production work may not be taking place at the time of your visit.
You are welcome to take photographs of the shop and our knives. Please follow the blacksmith’s instructions inside the workshop.
